About
Claude Semal offers thirteen songs that are both topical and part of the “long history” of Belgian songwriting. This album, which owes much to Raquel Gigot's accordion playing, showcases Claude's ironic and precise writing style, his poetry and melancholy, and his ever-present social conscience. Ranging from ballads to more upbeat tunes, his varied compositions are never “pop.”
