Matthieu Vandenabeele

Matthieu Vandenabeele (also known under the pseudonym “Matthieu Van”, pianist and leader of the Old Fashioned Trio) was born April 12, 1978 in Roubaix (France.) From the age of 8 years, he studied classical piano that continue until 1999, when he obtained a diploma study at the Academy of Music in Mouscron. During this period he joined the Brussels Conservatory to study jazz with Eric Legnini, he was awarded first prize in June 2003.
