In 2002, during a stay in New-York, he got to study with renowned trombonists such as

Steve Davis, Conrad Herwig and Slide Hampton…

Since his return to Belgium in 2003, Gilles Repond has been heard playing with Philippe Aerts, Chris Joris, Pierre Vaiana, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Christophe Astolfi, Mimi Verderame, Bruno Castelucci, Stéphane Mercier, The KMG’S, Marc Lelangue, Z, The Belgium Jazz Big Band, The Jazz Station Big Band, Dick Van Der Harst …

He’s now often in Paris, playing with Ron Meza Big Band, Jeff Hoffman and many others
